Volunteer
In general, the day to day running of our orphanages are looked after by local staff employed from the surrounding areas, this we believe gives the children an ability to fit into society better. However volunteers are welcome, we have even had people just come to be with the children and see what we are doing, or visit their sponsor children. Here is a list of areas in which one might like to consider volunteering:
Teachers
This would be of assistance to help increase the standard of education beyond that of the local curriculum and teaching methods. Our teachers do a fantastic job with what they have been given, but unfortunately they simply do not have opportunity to learn of different and often better teaching methods. A volunteer to assist in this area would be greatly appreciated.
Tradesmen/labourers
I have found that trying to implement methods of building that we use back in West, simply do not work because the resources are not there. This being said I have found it extremely rewarding to work alongside the locals doing things their way. It is most likely that we will build in a local manner and use local workers to do the work, but volunteers are welcome to join in when we are going through building phases (contact to find out when these are). Also someone may wish to help by coming to install a water system, or solar energy (electricity or hot water) if they would be able to find the time and funds.
Love and nurturing
There are never enough hands to love and nurture the children. If you are not handy with a hammer then don’t let that discourage you. At the end of the day we would like you to have as much time as possible with our kids.

We appreciate receiving applications at least 3 months prior to your intended arrival.
Group Volunteers
