Faye Walkling

fayeFaye Walkling has worked in Thailand for over 25 years and runs the Emmanuel Home For Boys. Due to the boys’ hard lives and experiences, the home concentrates on individual attention. 13 boys in total are housed by Faye, ranging in age from 13 to 21 years. Five are AIDS orphans, seven have only a mother who cannot adequately care for them and the remaining boy has parents who need assistance.

Most boys came to Faye in a malnourished state but are all now healthy and vibrant. All boys attend the local Secondary School, performing on par with their peers. As well as the Emmanuel House, Faye also supports two young men studying to become Electricians and two young men in Bible College.

Faye’s burden is to train natural leaders and workers to carry on and propel the work to the next level. She mentors and networks with others working in other regions and supports a church in Maesarieng, where one of her students is the Pastor.

We are proud to support and partner with Faye in her works in Thailand. Faye is believing for funds to provide for the building of a cottage for some of the older boys to live in, enabling them to learn to live independently. Faye has also expressed that her work with the boys would be greatly enriched by small teams visiting on a yearly basis to help with mentoring and guiding the boys.
