Mik Henzell
My name is Michael Henzell and currently I am an A.O.G missionary living in Bolivia working for my local church in Australia “Dayboro A.O.G Christian Family Church”.
In 2001 God placed in my heart a vision to travel to Bolivia and build an orphanage in the jungle of the Amazon. After studying and receiving an Advanced Diploma at Strikeforce Ministry Training Institute in Queensland God confirmed to me to go and be part of a solution to the growing number of abandoned and orphaned children. In 2003 I arrived in Bolivia and I have been working throughout many areas of the country. I have learned so much about the culture, language and most importantly the children’s needs, and by 2005 I felt confident and well prepared to finally head to the Amazon Jungle to fulfill the vision God gave me.
I have been working along side a local Church in La Paz and we have planted a new sister Church in a large Amazonian town called Riberalta. This town was chosen because of the large population of abandoned and orphaned children due to the deaths of their parents caused by harsh jungle life. We have purchased 50 acres of land just 10 km from town and is the perfect place to construct the dream that GOD has placed on my heart. Many Christian locals and I are working along side the government to build the orphanage and school known as ¨Casa Segura¨ (Safe House). This project will provide up to two hundred children with housing, education and a Church. They will have the opportunity to grow up in a caring and safe environment with people who will nurture them and bring them up in the ways of the Lord.
